Waiting has got to be the worst feeling ever. A huge relief follows though when whatever you were waiting on happens and you realize all the waiting has not been in vain. But why should we have to wait? And what if it suddenly dawns on you that you have literally been waiting forever? Whether it be waiting on a ride, waiting on a promotion, waiting to be paid, waiting on kids to grow up, waiting on someone you love, the wait itself is dreadful. Bob Marley originally sang,
“I don’t want to wait in vain for your love.” Like he said, for three years he knocked on his lady love’s door yet he was willing to wait through the seasons on his turn provided he knew if it was feasible for him to knock some more! Even the Psalms imply that you must be encouraged while you wait. And it is the scriptures too that tell us that “love is never tired of waiting.” Oh well, speak for yourself, so tell me, what are you still waiting for? Is it worth the wait?
