Sad reflection on a comment I made back in 2009 and which still applies today as the nation gears up for Independence holiday. Ever wonder why only in JAMAICA and nowhere else? “Eternal Father bless our land... well by now you should know why we are the only country in the world that has a prayer for our national anthem...astute vision on the part of the songwriters, they knew we would have to be praying daily ....to keep us free from evil powers....to teach us true respect for all....to get our leaders and our people ....to stir response to duty's call.....and above all for all the ignoramuses......knowledge send us Heavenly Father!”
