The gift of an Amazon Fire tablet has however rekindled a spark and literally fired me up to rediscover the joy of reading novels again. As a child, my mom would often return from the bookstore with a prized possession for me. This being the result after giving in to my special repeated request which was always for her to bring back the fattest book she could find. Fat books had more pages to read so it would take a little longer for me to devour them. It is no wonder that from the moment I turned on the tablet, my eyes were instantly drawn to the Books category. And then it happened. I started to read an e-book and it wasn’t too long before I was flying through the chapters, swiping page after page anxious to know the outcome. I kept reading to the end.
So here am I fighting the urge to read again and it’s funny how I just can’t seem to get the thought of a fat book out of my head.
